Level 2 - Internet Safety for IT Users

This will help educate you on how to keep yourself and others safe at college, online and at work. You will explore what your college does to keep you safe and how you as an individual can contribute. You will also become familiar with the different types of abuse and discrimination and explore how best to protect yourself and others from such issues. You will learn to identify risks to user safety and privacy, identify risks to data security, identify risks to system performance and integrity and minimise internet risks. You will learn to spot how reliable information on websites is, what cyberbullying is, how to report online safety issues, and how to find e-safety help and information.


Access Duration


You will have 12 months access to your online study platform from the date you purchased the course. You can complete the course in stages, revisiting the training at any time. It is self-paced so you can decide how quickly to progress through it.


Who is the course aimed at?


This course is suitable for anyone who is interested in developing their knowledge and understanding of internet safety for IT users. There are no specific entry requirements for this course. Basic understanding of English language, literacy, numeracy and ICT are required to complete this course.


Method of Assessment


At the end of the course learners will take an online multiple choice question assessment test. This online multiple choice question test is marked automatically so you will receive an instant grade and know whether you have passed the course. The pass mark is 70%.
